American Grant Writers’ Association

American Grant Writers' Association

American Grant Writers’ Association, Inc. is a Florida nonprofit corporation and is a 501(c)6 exempt organization. The founding members saw a need for an organization to meet the needs of professionals who specialize in researching grants, writing proposals, and administering grants. The association does not focus on other fundraising techniques, although we discuss them related to grantseeking. To promote professional conduct of its 850 active members, the organization adopted Standards of Practice and Professional Ethics. To further the professional growth of its members, the organization awards the Certified Grant Writer® Credential to members who have demonstrated proficiency in grantseeking. In 2011 the U.S. Patent Office awarded American Grant Writers’ Association a Trademark for its Certified Grant Writer® Credential.

We are a professional association of grant researchers, grant writers, and grant administrators. Our members work as Grant Consultants or employees of State or Local Government Agencies, institutions of Higher Education, Native Tribes, and Non-Profit Organizations throughout the United States.

All of our members are required to abide by AGWA’s Professional Standards and Code of Ethics.

The association offers many member services such as:

online courses on grant researching, proposal writing, grant consulting, and grant management,
workshops on grant writing and grant consulting,
Certified Grant Writer® Review Course and Examination,
2-day Annual Grant Conference where members and guests can improve their skills, learn new trends, and network with professionals in the industry.

We invite you to become a member of American Grant Writers’ Association or attend the next Annual Grant Conference!
