Will Readability Measures Improve Your Grant Proposal Writing?

Readability is the ease in which text can be read and understood. Readability measures, such as the Flesch Reading Ease Test and Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level Test, aim to match text to a specific reading skill. While experts agree that the formulas are highly accurate for grading the readability of existing texts, they are not so useful for creating or modifying them. Rather than relying on formulas to improve a grant proposal, readability is enhanced by observing good writing practices.
